Berbers have thick yarns and are often distinguished by their 'flecked' appearance, which is excellent for hiding traffic marks. Combining fashion and function, Berber carpets have become one of the most popular varieties of home carpeting on the market today. They come in a wide range of tones and patterns, in both wool and less costly synthetics (Nylon). Some other Berbers are also constructed with multi-level loops that create patterns or random effects that help hide dirt.
