Laminate flooring is easier to install than real hardwoods, but the gap is narrowing. Most engineered hardwood flooring is glued or stapled directly to the subfloor. However, the floating installation method used with laminate flooring is growing in popularity. Many of the engineered hardwood flooring brands we carry are also approved for a floating installation. All laminate flooring is floated and brands have many more glueless installation options than engineered hardwood flooring.
